What happened to N.E.R.D.cast?

Thursday, July 29th, 2010

So I was posting these podcasts for a while an then suddenly I wasn’t. So what gives, Joey. I shan’t leave you hanging; here is what does give: we made a bunch more (27 total at last count), and then we just kind of… stopped. They were fun to do, but sometimes difficult to organize, and we could never really tell who gave a damn. Interestingly, I checked on iTunes tonight, and every single posted episode had a popularity rating that was completely topped out. Weird. We may do another one someday, but no promises shall be made here and now.

Anywho, here is one of my favorite episodes, with special guests Jenny Flack and Derek Mears.

N.E.R.D.cast #4

Friday, April 3rd, 2009

This week, we have a very special guest (and hopefully regular), Gabriel Koerner. Gabriel is perhaps one of the best known nerds ever for his participation in a documentary entitled “Trekkies” (yes, he was that kid). And he was the Star Trek geek on the game show, “Beat The Geeks”. He is also a digital artist on big things like “Lost” and “Battlestar Galactica” and “Speed Racer”.

“So what happened to N.E.R.D.cast #3?”, you ask. Well, #3 was recorded while I was out of town, and I am narcissistic, so it doesn’t go here. That and my lack of posting anything else is getting pretty embarrassing. If you want to hear that one, go to (which I incidentally built) and download it.

N.E.R.D.cast #2

Friday, March 20th, 2009

Here is the second installment of N.E.R.D.cast.  In this episode, we talk about comic book hero origins, Microsoft, Apple, Muppets and movies.  I’m going to try to maybe blog more often, so that this podcast isn’t the only thing going on here.

Also, if you wish to subscribe to this and future N.E.R.D.casts, you can do so from this link or you can look us up on iTunes.

N.E.R.D.cast #1

Wednesday, March 11th, 2009

This is a new thing I’m involved in. It’s a podcast called N.E.R.D.cast, and it is exactly what it sounds like: grown men talking about things that would never get them laid. In this first episode, we talk about Cronenberg, Baconaise, the new Pepsi logo, and many other nerdy shits.
